For those who didn't know Monplaisir is also formed by 2 members of SPORT (Flo and Clement) but also Yohan and Pierre who are both amazing and talented musicians.

Recorded at Mikroksom Studio in Villeurbanne (Thurston Moore, Oiseaux Tempête, Baton Rouge), this LP puts the band on a higher level, combining their sonic explorations with amazing melodies and great hooks. A long record to make, the band worked very hard on it and the result is absolutely mindblowing, believe me"

le 1er LP de Monplaisir est dispo !
Il s'appelle The Agreement et c'est une coprod entre votre humble serviteur (Echo Canyon) et Adagio 830 à Berlin.
Je suis pas le mieux placé pour en parler de manière objective, mais ce disque est pour moi une vraie réussite. Le groupe a réussi à marier les envolées bruitistes avec les mélodies imparables. La démo laissait présager du bon, mais là... ils ont mis la barre vraiment haute !

pour celles et ceux que ça intéresse, y a 2 membres de Sport dans Monplaisir, mais aussi Yohan, un talentueux guitariste, digne héritier de Thurston Moore, mais aussi Pierre Lemaire, que vous avez pu voir dans Onze ou encore dans les excellents Strange Milk.

Ce disque plaira sûrement aux fans de Sonic Youth / Thurston Moore Band, Sebadoh, Pavement et les trucs indie 90s, mais pas que.
Les gars sont de gros fans du Velvet et de Spacemen 3 aussi
