TDOAFS / DUCT HEARTS - split 6“ (time is a color - Originally planned as a 5″ but upsized for sound quality reasons canadian TDOAFS and german DUCT HEARTS team up with ZILPZALP RECORDS (D), TIME AS A COLOR (D), DASEIN RECORDS (DEN), CIVIC DUTY (AUS), DON‘T LIVE LIKE ME RECORDS (US), DINGLEBERRY RECORDS (D), À FOND D’CALE (F), HARDCORE FOR THE LOSERS (A) and ADORNO RECORDS (UK) to release their split single on classy custom sized 6″ vinyl. Both bands contribute one song exclusively written for this record, while TDOAFS have a harsh and short as usual (few of their songs reach the 3 minute mark) screamo burst at its best, DUCT HEARTS, who usually have their songs take a bit more time to breathe, unfold, sometimes even up to 8 minutes, show they can get to the point quickly if neccessary. Recorded in the same session as their recently released debut LP ‘feathers’ and not unlike that record you get cleans, rock, reverb, delay, double-bass and a fully orchestrated wall-of-sound. simply stripped down to a mere 2:30.) 6.00

7“

CONGRATULATIONS / THE RABBIT THEORY - split 7“ (time is a color - one tune by now defunct congratulations, dark and dreamy emo/screamo from canada. on the flipside the very last rabbit theory song, written as a soundtrack to this animation movie made by christian eberhard:) 6.00

THOU / GREAT FALLS - split 7“ (hell comes - Released by Hell Comes Home, a new split 7″ between Thou and Great Falls. Each one offering up a Shellac cover. These come packaged in screen-printed covers and include a download code.) 6.00

LP

ASHBRINGER - vacant LP (vendetta - "Naturalistic black metal that demonstrates an impressive degree of compositional confidence and control of dynamics, concept, and flow, resulting in a rich and immersive album with a lot of depth. A remarkable accomplishment by anyone“) 14.00

DYM - ray’s front teeth LP (time is a color - The sophomore EP from London post-hardcore trio Dym, out on 12" vinyl / digital download Friday 8 December. Hypnotic, winding guitars with hissing tape loops, bringing to mind to likes of June of 44, Slint, Polvo and US Maple.) 12.00

HAUNTER / SOVEREIGN - split LP (vendetta - "For a scene which was once so reviled, the US black metal movement is a treasure trove of creativity. From sea to boiling sea, there are countless bands who either add a tremendous weight to black metal or whet its ever-dulling blade. Two younger bands, Haunter and Sovereign, represent this pummeling power and sharp ferocity, respectively. Together on this split, they write a greater truth concerning the creative spirit of American Black Metal in the new century." ( invisible oranges )) 14.00

IN CAUDA VENENUM - s/t LP (Started in 2010, IN CAUDA VENENUM has matured its music to deliver a form of solemn yet radiant Black Metal tinged with a Post Rock feeling. 2 massive songs on each side!) 15.00

JASON MOLINA - pyramid electric co. LP (secretly canadian - This is the first soloalbum by SONGS: OHIA frontman JASON MOLINA. He needs nothing more than his guitar, serving as a kind of pulse, and his voice to lull the listener to a place remembered only at the quietest of moments. (O.K., he plays piano on one track...). His vocal performance is gut-wrenching, it seems almost as if he'd be singing to himself only, never to be heard by anyone else. But thanks to producer MIKE MOGIS (BRIGHT EYES, THE FAINT,... ) who superbly caught the sonic ghosts surrounding MOLINA he can be heard now. Although this album is released on vinyl only, there will be a ferr CD copy of the album that comes along with every LP.) 18.00

JASON MOLINA - let me go, let me go LP (secretly - I wanted badly to revisit the type of songs I did on my more experimental albums The Pyramid, The Ghost, and Protection Spells. I put this project together in the last days before I began what was a long and harrowing move back to Chicago. I wrote these songs as well as the half dozen or so that did not make it over the course of 3 mornings in Bloomington, Indiana and recorded them one after the other in the order they were written. All of this is an attempt to put a serious price on lyrics that are honest not witty, shy but not weak, weary if they are and sad without apology, depression without a fight and depression with a fight.) 18.00

PANOPTICON - autumn eternal DLP orange vinyl (nordvis - Autumn is here covering the landscape with its amber raiment, transforming it into a fiery land of colour and wonder. Just like this season of fire Panopticons new creation colours our inner world with autumn's sparkling shades, putting tunes to this season of transcendence. ”Autumn Eternal” is still an incredibly well-composed album by the multifaceted artist A. Lunn. It is a deep and soulful journey which reflects on a seemingly eternal quest of this talented and kind hearted individual, steeped in sadness and beauty. Autumn Eternal is a beautiful work of art created in the sign of melancholy and in which the metal genre is interwoven with other traditional music styles, forming one of the most captivating, illuminating and honest metal albums in 2015.) 34.00

REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER - s/t LP (Born in 2011, the members of Regarde Les Hommes Tomber hail from the French hardcore, black metal and death metal scenes. RLHT merge sludge’s heaviness, black metal’s darkness and hardcore’s groove with post-rock’s atmospheres.) 15.00

THE SMUDJAS - what we have is today LP (adagio830 - 7 new tracks of great garage emo punk by the SMUDJAS from Milano, Italy. Catchy and beautiful. "The Smudjas are a punk band from the Italian city of Milan, and their sound is a giddy, melodic rush of hooks and feelings. Next month, the band will release a new EP called What We Have Is Today, and the two songs they’ve shared, “Different Lines” and “Dance & Revolution” are both lo-fi bursts of catharsis. Those two songs are some of the best pop-punk I’ve heard in recent memory." (Stereogum)) 14.00

TIME LURKER - EP I & EP II LP (When unity became a strength and music turns back time: two universes gather as one. In the blizzard of Strasbourg, France, the black metal of this one-man band perpetually converges with those cold atmospheres, drowned in the darkness and lurking in the shadows in order to fuse those two EP’s ; EP’s that melt and mix to create a first album. It’s time to be scared, the lurker is coming, you can hear its footsteps… Born in 2014, TIME LURKER is an atmospheric Black Metal one-man band from Strasbourg, France. This project, led by Mick, is influenced by Altar Of Plagues, Weakling, Yellow Eyes or Krallice. TIME LURKER’s concept is based on a long and introspective journey facing the Human nature, leading us to confronte our demons shaped by our doubts and fears. This journey is at a crossroad between Jules Verne and HP Lovecraft. Several featuring with bands from Strasbourg and Paris such as Thibo (Paramnesia, Jeanne), Tony (Rance), Cédric (End of Mankind, Pyrecult), Clem (Le Mal des Ardents) have contributed to create Time Lurker. ) 13.00

TOME OF THE UNREPLENISHED - Cosmoprism: The Theurgy - Act I LP (A mysterious atmospheric black metal / industrial project from the UK and Cyprus. Man vs. cosmos, cosmos vs. man; as we explore the antipodes of the universe and its relation to the human condition, inevitably we shall stumble upon something greater than ourselves. Something which stands defiantly beyond language, beyond concepts, beyond the human. Desperately we try to fathom and describe but to no avail. Some call it God, others prefer silence. Tome Of The Unreplenished, fully aware of this ancient struggle, abandon the fetters of musical convention and knowingly steer into terra incognita. Gone is the uplifting transcendence of this work heretofore, now inverted into a vertiginous descent. In this deluge, sonic experience takes primacy over structure and rhythm, objective determinants of harmony and order give way to subjective sensations of Cosmic revelation. 31 mins of music) 15.00

VOID OMNIA - s/t LP (vendetta - VOID OMNIA's first album, released in 2014 digitally only, finally sees a vinyl release) 14.00

WILDERNESSKING - And The Night Swept Us Away / The Devil Within LP (Wildernessking was established in May 2011 as a forward-thinking metal band. Starting out as a fun, black ‘n roll project called Heathens in 2010, the band morphed into a progressive force, encompassing many genres and styles on the way. Releasing their debut full-length album on Antithetic Records in February 2012, followed by a self-released EP in June 2012 and a couple of music videos, Wildernessking took the underground music scene by storm and to critical acclaim. In 2013, the band focused on writing new material, and did their first local tour, playing both Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa. In 2014, the group released their highly regarded EP, The Devil Within, and was the only African band to appear on Elemental Nightmares, a vinyl project consisting of 26 bands and spanning 7 ten-inch split albums, released over the course of 2014. 2015 saw the band releasing their track, Soundless Longing, for the Secret Ceremonies compilation, an album featuring forward-thinking South African bands, which will see a physical release in 2016. Now playing a hybrid of black metal, rock and ambient music, the group is set to release their brand new full-length record in early 2016 through Sick Man Getting Sick Records, Grimoire Cassette Cvlture, Monotonstudio Records and Les Acteurs De L’Ombre Productions. 2016 will also see the release of a brand new EP, through Permanent Record and Breathe Plastic Records. The band plans to tour, both locally and internationally, in support of these releases.  This LP includes both the ...And the Night Swept Us Away and The Devil Within EPs, along with two new recordings, clocking in around the 41min mark. It will also feature a brand new song, Decay, written especially for this release in the vein of The Devil Within songs.) 15.00

CD

SPECTRAL LORE / LOCUST LEAVES - split CD (Spectral Lore changes a bit with the split with Locust Leaves, evolving into more of a straight-forward, nearly Viking-esque Pagan black metal with nearly depressive vocals that scream out in haunting fashion instead of the drawn-back gutteral effort that was displayed on “Sentinel”.  Here the progressive nature of the band is absolutely present with impressive scale-running bass melodies underneath of both exceptionally epic/catchy guitar work full of triplet-chugs, solo-style bridging and blackened fury — complete with guitar breaks that both hearkens back to old school heavy metal harmonies and octaves and represents the newer styles of instrumental progsters and epic sludge-driven emotion a la Isis.  Lyrically this track is just as beautiful, following in the ancestral spirit of the previous release as an unknown figure, deeply situated within a vision, observes an ancient phantasm whom walks a path of thorns in search of natural elements in our world — seeds, stones — to hide away in its dimension of flesh and bone.  The phantasm faces a white stone, out of reach and blocked by thorns, as the protagonist tries to find memory of his surroundings and use the symbology to evolve his own spirit — he whom bears witness to the ghost of the cosmos, he who gives us form and lights the fire within our hearts, and in the end extinguishes it. Along with Spectral Lore on this two-track split is Locust Leaves, a project from which little is known about and whom seem to be making their debut appearance here.  Their track is split into three chapters and contains music that is mostly fairly straight-forward but impressively performed/produced melodic death metal.  The second chapter, however, contains a doomy atmospheric approach that is reminiscent of the French style of Your Shapeless Beauty.  This chapter also ends with a vocal effort on the traditional side of things that unfortunately seemed out of place and had shaky tones which, as far as I can tell, is the only negative aspect to either release mentioned here.  Regardless, they’ve impressed through having an incredibly professional production on their track that is both heavy as hell and nearly structurally perfect, never leaving a dull moment even in melodic lines which are just unpredictable enough to keep it interesting. 7“

GUFONERO / SOVEREIGN - split 7“ (shove - Two sludge bands from Italy.) 6.00

LEUCROTA - Empty Skin 7“ (shove - Leucrota are an amazing grim and darkness-fueled hardcore band from Santa Cruz (now relocated to Olympia, WA) – an abominable hardcore punk degeneration. Now these immesurably savage and bleak hardcore bruisers are back with a flesh-reaping self-released 7″ that in less than eight minutes will turn your bones to dust and ignite hell within your soul.  Leucrota was conceived in 2015, within the squirming rot of a wretched womb, and poured into this world soaking in bile and reeking of the fowl stench of revenge, angst and of the most eroding despair. (CVLT Nation)) 5.00

LP

A CERTAIN RATIO - To Each ... DLP (mute - Limited Edition Double Red Vinyl! This first album was originally only released on cassette and was compiled from a collection of early four-track recordings and a set of live tracks recorded when the band was opening for the Talking Heads. The sound is good for lo-fi recordings, and the band is, for all of their musical amateurishness, precise and controlled. Those seeking an idiosyncratic, interesting art-funk band can do no wrong with this release. “A Certain Ratio embraced the ethic and culture of the late seventies post-punk explosion, but sounded like nothing else around them and refused to fit in,” reads the press notes. “ACR always do what I don’t expect, who wouldn’t want to work with artists like that?” Mute Records boss Daniel Miller adds. Though various members have come and gone, a core line-up of Jeremy Kerr, Martin Moscrop and Donald Johnson has always remained.) 25.00

ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE & THE MELTING PARAISO U.F.O. - Astro Infinity Discothèque DLP (bam balam - Brand new live album from Acid Mothers Temple, one of the greatest Japanese psychedelic bands, featuring Pika on drums and vocals. Recorded at "15th Acid Mothers Temple Festival" at Tokuzo (Nagoya) on December 10th, 2016. Personnel: Makoto Kawabata - guitar, synthesizer, voice, speed guru; Higashi Hiroshi - synthesizer, Theremin, noodle god; Mitsuko Tabata - guitar, guitar-synthesizer, maratab; Satoshima Nani - drums, another dimension; S/T - bass, space and time; Pika - drums, voice liquidbiupil. Produced and mixed by Makoto Kawabata.) 30.00

ALEXANDER VON SCHLIPPENBACH & SVEN AKE JOHANSSON - Schraubenlieder LP (trost - Sven-Ake Johansson - Vocals Alexander von Schlippenbach - Piano, Unreleased songs from 1988, recorded by Radio DRS Bern.) 20.00

AMERICAN - Violate And Control LP (The second album - ten wretched tracks of astonishing sonic abuse that knows no end. With their own brand of crazed, sadistic, and raw industrial black metal american have reached a new zenith in musical depravity that will leave old fans of the band and new admirers alike horrified by the sheer cruelty reached in this new work, and disgusted by the band’s mindless and lawless evolution into complete and triumphant aural perversion. A work of absolutely magnificent sonic abhorrence that coerces together the abyssal darkness of black metal bands like Leviathan and Ash Borer, the earth-shaking noise abuse of Prurient, Bastard Noise and The Body, and the glacial magnificence of blackened noise sound sculptors like Sutekh Hexen and Locrian.) 13.00

BÖLZER - soma 12“ (iron - Bölzer is another band from the country with the white cross which fits into this category. The band adds a black shade to the white cross. The newest release is called "Soma" and comes with two tracks. It can be seen as an EP since the total playing time is about 19 minutes. The heart of the record is called "Labyrinthian graves", which is a more than twelve minutes long tune.  It combines crunchy guitar riffs with powerful growls. The arrangement and the structure of such a long song is good since the tension and excitment is kept during the entire time. Everyone who counts Celtic Frost and Trypticon to his/her favorites should spend 12 minutes to listen to this track. You will not regret it. The first song is a bit shorter, which means five minutes. It's a mean death metal track that is kept a bit slower than the second one. But also here we can find desperate sound eruptions which sounds like the apocalyise. (mwimetalblog )) 13.00

BORIS DZANECK - In His Own Words LP (danger - After Dutch punk band Disorder split in 1981, guitarist Riks Ozinga and bass player Marcel Knijff decided to continue as a duo. A simple Roland computer replaced the drummer and a befriended poet came up with the name Boris Dzaneck, a fictional Eastern European war hero who functioned as the main character in one of his poems. Originally self-released in 1983 on a cassette, this post punk/cold wave album is now remastered and available on vinyl for the first time. The release includes lyrics, rare pictures and liner notes.) 16.00

BREAG NAOFA - II LP (halo of flies - Breag Naofa bring a crushing sophomore LP. Think NORTHLESS, PRIMITIVE MAN, et al with nods to hardcore and post black metal / post metal. Crushing from start to finish.) 13.00

CALVARIO - s/t LP (Formed in 2015, Calvario are a mix of Blackned hardcore, crust and sludge with a female voice. They released their first EP in December 2016. Recorded at Vacuum Studio in Bologna by Enrico Baraldi from the band Ornaments and mastered by James Plotkin, well known for his work with band such as Isis, Saint Vitus, Botch and Sunn O)). The EP has been completely produced by the band and it’s available on vinyl.) 12.00

DE JEUGD VAN TEGENWOORDIG / ANARCHISTS ON DOPE - Alles Moet Kapot LP (belgian waffles - Compilation of the (so far?) only surviving tracks of the Belgian 80's cult punk band Anarchists On Dope / De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig. Tracks A1 to A3 are taken from the 1984 7" "Wij" (Recorded as De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig) Tracks B1 to B3 are taken from the 1983 "Allez Crachez" tape, released on Punk Etc. (Recorded as Anarchists On Dope)) 15.00

DOEDSVANGR - satan ov suns DLP (immortal - What makes Satan ov Suns special is not that it is different from other black metal bands but that fact that it is resolutely static. The black metal you will find within the album is nothing groundbreakingly different in any stretch of the imagination. It’s not a post black metal band, not an ambient black metal band, not an atmospheric black metal band. It’s a black metal band and that’s all it sets out to be. Satan ov Suns is a loud, violent, aggressive statement made by some of the best in the underground saying that we will not compromise what black metal is in the name of anything, not progression, not new ideas. Black metal was created to be uncompromising and unfriendly and unattractive. Black metal is the unlight, the complete contrast of everything else that music is today. Doedsvangr expresses this exact message in their album. Within the confines of Satan ov Suns the listener will be exposed to something pure, something uncompromising, something violent, something nasty. This is what black metal was created to be. The sound has changed over time but that is not because the musicians have changed the way they play but the technology that they use to create the music is better.) 19.00

DON CHERRY & GATO BARBIERI - Togetherness LP (klimt - This LP features tenor-saxophonist Gato Barbieri, at the beginning of his career and trumpeter Don Cherry teaming up with a French rhythm section for the trumpeter’s five-part “Togetherness.” While Cherry plays pretty free, he sounds conservative next to the often-violent wails of Barbieri (...) (allmusic) An explosive live Parisian recording, a marvelous Symphony for improvisers: Don Cherry and Gato Barbieri. A legendary record finally available again on KLIMT!) 16.00

ELMER BERNSTEIN - To Kill A Mockingbird OST LP (doxy - Between 1951 and 2002, Elmer Bernstein composed over 200 scores for films and TV programs. Among the great film scores from 1955 to 1965 (The Magnificent Seven, The Great Escape, The Ten Commandments) the one that Bernstein picked as his favorite was - TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. This has one of the simplest and most delicate film scores ever composed. The opening Main Title features a delicate waltz tempo mixed with a more expansive theme which beautifully sets the mood for this drama of innocent childhood and racial prejudice. This is a masterpiece of subtle film scoring and one of the greatest from the past fifty years.) 16.00

IRIS - iris LP (dogknights - The revival of Toronto band, Iris, comes with a new beginning and a new EP. There are traces of their deconstructive melancholic spirit that we came to know earlier but they have since suspended themselves deeper into the shoegaze genre and into a more experimental sound with their transformative power of guitar music. New singer and bass player Meg Boni’s silvery voice appears vulnerable yet delivers soaring above guitarists Angel Scorcia and (singer) Scott Downes, and drummer Leigh Fisk. Their talent shines throughout all four songs, with piercing and interwoven melodies, swirling guitars, and a distortion that bleeds raw emotion. Iris is a flawlessly constructed soundscape and an EP so devastatingly divine that it is impossible to listen to just one song.) 14.00

LVTN - Gelu LP (LVTN (Formerly Leviathan and not to be confused with LVTHN) is a 3-piece Crust / Dark Hardcore / Screamo band from Rome, Italy. They remind me A LOT of the Florida band, Centuries, and that my friends is a good thing. This release is only 6 songs but clocks in impressively at over 32 minutes, and it's definitely worth your time.) 13.00

MASARU SATO - The Throne Of Blood OST LP (doxy - Limited edition on white vinyl. Masaru Sato's score to the classic 1957 movie, rooted in traditional Japanese music.) 16.00

NECRONOMIDOL - Deathless LP (Less than a year since their fantastic EP from chaos born, Necronomidol returns with their sophomore album DEATHLESS, a brutal masterpiece lyrically touching into the darkest subjects idols have touched upon, taking advantage of abysmal H.P. Lovecraft-esque imagery. They were also kind enough to provide English translations for every song on the album! Everything about this release shows that they went the extra mile here. The record, like “from chaos born” opens up with the post-black metal banger “END OF DAYS”. The very first note just hits you like a canon. The song is littered with lazy blast beats, tremolo’d minor chords, and chilling harmonies carefully woven into haunting melodies when the song opens up into more uplifting refrains. ) 16.00

PANPHAGE - Jord LP (nordvis - Hear the horn of Heimdall which signals the coming of the end. It is time to return home. Jord - the swedish word for soil - is that which, through the bonds of debt and inheritance, links us in the chain of time to the past to those who came before and those who will come after us. The soil which fed us is also the earth in which we will be interred and we are hereby invited to see the funeral pyres as Panphage is laid to rest in the soil of the fathers. Toiling in the underground for over a decade before his first full-length, 2015's "Storm", sole musician Fjällbrandt, much like Jord - the giantess and mother of the god of thunder - gave birth to lightning and took the black metal world quite literally… by storm. Now on his third and final album, "Jord", an ode to heritage and to the death and rebirth of earth, Panphage continues his meditations on Swedish folk songs which came before him -- black metal which feels as ancient as the stories which fuel it. Still as furious as ever, but wiser now, Fjällbrandt's force continues to focus; a hidden enormity driving through the blistering snow and cracked earth which shaped his art.  Much like Jord before him, Panphage's now returns to the shadows beneath, letting his own lightning son extend into eternity.) 25.00

PIERO PICCIONI - Le Mani Sulla Città OST LP (dagored - Racy and doomy soundtrack filled with incredible dark jazz tunes composed by the great PIERO PICCIONI for the Italian cinema masterpiece LE MANI SULLA CITTA' directed by FRANCESCO ROSI and winner of the Leone d'Oro at the Venice Film Festival of 1963. Piero Piccioni has composed more than 300 scores for film, television, radio, ballet and orchestra, working with legendary directors as Luchino Visconti, Vittorio De Sica, Dino Risi. LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES / BLACK VINYL COMPLETE SCORE FOR THE FIRST TIME AVAILABLE ON VINYL) 25.00

SCORNTHROATS - Misfortune LP (shove - From the metallic hardcore power of its very core, through overwhleming, violent gusts of fevered guitar, as well as its chaotic twists and turns, this isn’t so much “another hardcore record” as a true test of your stamina. “Misfortune” shows a different side to the very same band and finds them finding their balance in chaos. The stormy nature of this new debut full length from Italy’s SCORNTHROATS is just ridiculous, but it’s the band’s more introspective, skillfully juxtaposed atmospheric feel that they really impress. (Idioteq)) 13.00

SUMMONING - With Doom We Come DLP (napalm - Sagas and myths culled from J.R.R. Tolkien`s vast universe are the black blood that courses through SUMMONING`s veins, and With Doom We Come the ultimate soundtrack to a fantastic journey!  Ever since the release of their debut album Lugburz (1995) SUMMONING have proven themselves to be the true guardians of Middle Earth! What started out as a project deeply rooted in traditional black metal took an epic turn in the following years – evergreens like Dol Guldur (1996) and Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame (2001) bear witness to a continuously refined soundscape. Five years after Old Mornings Dawn, Protector and Silenius have turned over a new leaf in their bottomless saga. Over eight tracks, With Doom We Come indulges all things sublime and majestic, while grandiose keyboard backgrounds and mystical intros weave pure atmosphere contrasting with raw black metal. Opener ‘Tar-Calion‘ is a fitting ode to the last king of the island of Númenor, while ‘Carcharoth‘ tells the bloodthirsty tale of Arda`s mightiest wolf. ) 27.00

SUN RA - Just Outta This World - Rare Tracks 1955-1961 LP (jamaba - Herman Poole Blount, better known to the world as Sun Ra, lived more musical lives in his 79 years on this planet (and others) than seems possible. In the 30s he was the most rigorous bandleader in Birmingham, heading the Sonny Blount Orchestra and filling every waking moment with music or philosophical discussions, by the 40s he had moved to Chicago and performed with luminaries such as Wynonie Harris, Fletcher Henderson, and Coleman Hawkins. By the 50s he had changed his name to Sun Ra and began performing with longtime Arkestra bandmates John Gilmore and Marshall Allen. Ra started his own label, El Saturn (or Saturn), to release his own recordings as well as those featuring the Arkestra backing local R&B and doo-wop groups. Ra also worked with other local labels, playing on and producing singles throughout the Chicago area. Though the genres showcased here are more pop than the world has come to expect from Sun Ra, the vibe and feel is purely cosmic, producing some of the wildest, strangest R&B ever created on this side of the sun. This collection compile singles of rare hard to find early Sun Ra productions and performances from Juanita Rogers, Yochanan, Little Mack, and Sun Ra and his Myth-Science Arkestra, from 1955-1961. A must have for all true Sun Ra collectors, this is an impressive retrospective on the early days of this legendary music guru.) 17.00

ATRABILIS / NEGATIVA - MMXV 7“ (The harsh Black Metal of Atrabilis and Negativa captured for the first time on black wax. Two tracks of abstract, dissonant and abrupt Black Metal with a paranoic feeling. Not for everyone….) 6.00

IMPULSO - s/t 7“ (ett - You know what to expect if ETT brings you a hardcore punk record! If not, have a listen to our newest edition to the ETT hardcore punk rooster. From the ashes of SANG this in Trento based hardcore clusterbomb delivers 4 feedback drenched hardcore songs in the best way you could have in 2017! After outstanding releases by bands like BLOTTER, GAG, SIN MOTIVO, MIRROR, BIB, or DAUDYFLIN this italian maniacs continue with the weird style of hardcore we like the most at the ETT HQ. This EP is absolutely SAVAGE. It's a crushing assault on the ears and mind. The recording is a perfect mixture of clarity and rawness. The growling distorted bass drives the sound on top of relentless drumming and fuzzed out and feedback drenched guitar work that's part classic Italian hardcore and part 'weird 2017' era HARDCORE. IMPULSO are noisy, chaotic and explosive and each track rages with anger and intensity. Guitar layers of repetition create a bed of noise when the delay infected vocals lay painfully. Get weird!) 6.00

KRONISK MISANTROPI / WAARFACE - split 7“ (phoba - Brand new release on Phobia Records. Four d-takt / punk raw bullets from swedish monsters Kronisk Misantropi vs. two unholy brutal d-beat / crust songs from Texas d-beaters Waarface. For fans of Anti Cimex / Warvictims / Crude SS or Mob 47. Pressed 300 copies on white/red splatter vinyl.) 5.00

SONIC ORDER - s/t 7“ (doomtown - After a demo tape that was a total rager, Norwich's deadliest are back with six more thunderous shots full of proper riffs to ruin your day.  This UK band features former members of Jackals and Sonic Order play in a style similar to Jackals (without the metal parts), making this tough, bombastic and angry hardcore that captures some pretty heavy and negative raw vibes. Add gruff and fierce blown out vocals on top of that, and this is the reason Sonic Order are one of the finest representatives of the new wave of UK hardcore. Don't miss out on this one and prepare to be executed!  Recorded and Mixed by James Atkinson, Mutiny Studios, Bradford Mastered by Daniel Husayn, North London Bomb Factory  Limited to 300 copies on transparent vinyl in recycled brown paperbags. Comes with fold-out poster with art by Cecilia Caldiera.) 6.00

TARANTÜLA - s/t 7“ (Everything about this band is pretty much perfect! Infectious punk tunes to get everyone moving composed by the freaks from CULO. This band has been slaying at their gigs and winning everyone over with their hooks and amazing song writing. Six tracks total produced by GEZA X. I’m sure you know by now that Tarantula features a number of former Cülo members among their ranks and pretty much pick up right where Cülo left off, but honestly I think that this EP is better than anything Cülo produced, and I’m a pretty big Cülo fan! It’s funny, I mentioned to Jeff that for a band that didn’t even have a bass player in their previous iteration, the basslines on this EP are absolutely killer, and without a doubt one of the bright spots in the songs. The other reason I prefer this somewhat to Cülo is because they’ve slowed the tempos down just a hair. While this is still pretty much full-bore punk rock, playing at just a tad less manic tempo really makes the catchiness of these tracks jump out at you. I feel like I hear a lot of the classic punk sensibility of bands like the Dickies or even prime-era Naked Raygun in these tracks, though without sounding like a rehash or an homage at all. The lyrics are even really strong and well worth a read. Here’s hoping that we get a spate of Tarantula releases much like the deluge of Cülo vinyl that we saw in 2010 and 2011 and that they’re all as killer as this one.) 6.00

SENYAWA - Calling The New Gods 10“ (The film "Calling The New Gods", by Vincent Moon, is the document of musicians Rully Shabara & Wukir Suryadi of the group Senyawa playing & being filmed on location, outside, tracing a path from the outskirts of Yogyakarta, Java (on the border of a rice field, on the edge of a garbage dump, etc.) until the center of the city (in the middle of a market, in a fair).  In a sort of mandala, of centripetal spiral, during an entire day, from dawn until dusk, the film - with soundscapes shared between the music of Senyawa and field recordings - captures the powerful, unique & fascinating presence of the Indonesian duo in the middle of the physical landscapes and human mosaic that helped create it. ) 16.00

LP

ALBERTO IGLESIAS - tinker, tailor, spy OST DLP (DLP in Gatefold Sleeve Limited Number Available Gold Vinyl John le Carré's classic novel was first adapted in 1979 for the critically acclaimed TV drama starring Alec Guinness and found critical and popular acclaim again in 2011 with this film which featured the cream of British acting talent including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch and the recently sadly deceased John Hurt. Alberto Iglesias produced a suitably dark and jazzy soundtrack to director Tomas Alfredson's ("Let the Right One In") sinister adaptation of this tale of Cold War espionage, which won the BAFTA for Best British Film as well as a clutch of Academy Award nominations. Also nominated for an Academy Award for his work in the film "The Constant Gardener" (2005) and again for his work in "The Kite Runner" (2007), Spanish composer Alberto Iglesias is perhaps best known for his work with flamboyant director Pedro Almodovar (The Flower Of My Secret, Live Flesh, All About My Mother).) 35.00

BIG BUSINESS - here come the waterworks LP re issue (joyful noise - Jared Waren (Karp) and Coady Willis (Murder City Devils) formed Big Business in 2003 in Seattle, Washington. Their first fulllength album ( Head For The Shallow ) was released in 2005, followed by Here Come the Waterworks in 2007. The timeline of writing and recording Here Come the Waterworks is intertwined with the band's move to Los Angeles to play with the Melvins. Although Jared and Coady had not yet toured with the Melvins, they were living and practicing in L.A., and had just recorded (a)Senile Animal with the legendary and highly influential doom metal band. At this point, most of the songs on Here Come the Waterworks were fully formed. Big Business headed back up to Seattle to once again record with Phil Ek at AVAST! Studios.) 19.00

BIG BUSINESS - head for shallow LP re issue (The year is 2003. The place: Seattle, Washington. In a tiny room packed some really nice gear, Jared Warren and Coady Willis recorded the first fulllength Big Business album, Head For The Shallow. Both Jared & Cody had previously recorded with Phil Ek, and really liked him as person, as well as his production sensibilities. Phil had made many records at AVAST! Studios and was right at home, which made the band feel a lot more comfortable. Says Coady, "I remember listening to the rough mixes of the O.G. in the van and getting super excited. It was sounding great, just like a real record! I still feel proud of this album. It made me feel confident that we could do more.“) 19.00

BIG HUGE - cruel world LP (ett - Guys! This is BIG HUGE from NYC. In the past year, the band's been locked in the basement, recording their first full length album with Emil Bognar-Nasdor (Dawn of Humans, Hankwood & theHammerheads, L.O.T.I.O.N). The outcome of this collaboration broke provocative new ground for this band and we're really excited about this debut LP. Their stock in trade is a rough-hewn take on 70s rock – there are what must contractually be referred to as “duelling guitars” in the style of Thin Lizzy, bursts of slightly funky southern rock à la Lynyrd Skynyrd, bits of choppy new-wave guitar and a whole lot of appealingly clunky pop heaviness that brings to mind nothing so much as an extremely low-budget Kiss. BIG HUGE's music stuffs hip-shaking hooks and burly riffs within impeccably structured pop songs, wrapped in lyrics both open-hearted and openly political In the darkened, mangled heap of a humanity taught to sink to the bottom or exploit to the top, we can convince ourselves that we have breached beyond this pit of manmade depravity unscathed. But at what cost came that supposed glimmer of light? Are we convinced we compete in a playing field so fundamentally and institutionally unleveled? Are we patrons to a system of power sustained only by select oppression? We forfeit empathy to ambition. We estrange, digitize, and withhold from basic human connection to evade that emotional accountability - long-since unlearned - to survive in a CRUEL WORLD. In this pitchblack place, ascension is just an illusion.) 13.00

BRING THE DRONES - ignorance paradise LP (phoboa - Brand new recordings from these d-beat / punk veterans coming from Sweden and UK. Current line-up with members from Anti Cimex, Wolfhour, Doom, Domestics !!! This is sick and raw !!! ) 12.00

THE CELETOIDS - Pupal Stage LP (doomtown - Although The Celetoids are a fairly new band, their members were involved in bands whose records we've put out in the past. Remember the Modern Delusion/Chresus Jist split 7"? Well, 2/3 of Modern Delusion teamed up with the drummer from the now-defunct Chresus Jist and thats how The Celetoids journey began. ) 12.00

EVIL WARRIORS - fall from reality LP (war anthem - Leipzig /Germany based black metal entity EVIL WARRIORS ( members of antlers, II...). The band is the oldest still raging entity in the undying circle of Into Endless Chaos from Leipzig. Aggressive, harsh and bloody, enchanting, profound and possessed are just a few words to describe their kind of haunting black metal. After ten years of reaching for the unholy stars of insanity they are still hungry to ascend into their realms and fall from reality once and for all. Follow them on a journey of mania and passion, idleness and doom to find your reincarnation in the excess of the stars.) 15.00

GENERACION SUICIDA - Reflejos LP (doomtown - 4th 12" from these South Central LA punks who made a name for themselves in the modern DIY punk scene with their trademark sound and that is fast paced, melodic and catchy punk with jangly guitars and vocals sung in Spanish.  Reflejos 12" contains six brand new songs the band recorded by themselves and while the band is still channeling the sounds of KBD style punk and doing that charming male/female duo vocal thing, they still keep up with reinventing this classic sound and make it seem so fresh, exciting, and most importantly, totally relevant in the modern DIY punk scene.  500 copies on black vinyl, only euro release!!!  Artwork by Bodež, silkscreening job by Dirty Old Hands.  One sided 12" comes in beautiful silkscreened covers and with A4 inserts!) 12.00

GHOST - Ceremony & Devotion DLP (loma - Gatefold Sleeve, 140g Black Vinyl with printed innersleeves and 16 Page Booklet + Download Card Capping off the Meliora/Popestar cycle in true Ghost fashion – welcome to the live ritual. This is the first ever live recording release from Ghost and the physical product is a definite must-have for fans – featuring two fan-favorite tracks available exclusively on 2CD/2LP and extensive booklets featuring live photos shot by the legendary Ross Halfin. All songs recorded throughout the North American Popestar Tour in June and July 2017. Produced and Mixed by Tom Dalgety (Ghost “Popestar”, Royal Blood etc.) 30.00

HÜSKER DÜ - savage young dü 4xLP BOX + Book (numero - back in stock - Experience the punishing sonic origins of a punk icon. Collected here for the first time, and skillfully remastered from original board tapes, demos, and session masters, this collection is an authoritative chronicling of the wellspring and maturation of Grant Hart, Greg Norton and Bob Mould—three St. Paul teenagers who'd go on to become the most heralded trio of the American punk underground. Follow the Hüskers to their earliest gigs in 1979, through extensive road dog touring, and to the start of their partnership with West Coast tastemaker SST in 1983 via a 108-page hardbound book crammed full of photos, flyers, and a sprawling essay with participation from the band. Spread across four LPs, 47 of the 69 songs compiled here are previously unissued, and includes In A Free Land, Everything Falls Apart , and an alternate Land Speed Record.) 105.00

ISS - (endless pussyfooting) LP (ett - ISS born in North Carolina a super group consisting of Edwin J Schneider y cuidado Ricardo Poison Ivey of the Whatever Brain Flannel family tree. If you heard the first record, you know whats up. This one expounds on the ground they already laid out. Second full-length from this North Carolina punk duo. In case you haven’t paid attention to our raving about ISS in the past, here’s the story: Eddie from Brain F≠ and Rich from Whatever Brains work together to construct songs out of samples from classic punk records, making entirely new songs. ISS’s songs tend to be really different from one another, but the general vibe is an extremely unique combination of dance music and punk that sounds utterly unlike anything that I’ve ever heard before. However, rather than being trance-y, ISS are very song-oriented, relying on Rich’s ability to pen a pop tune and deliver a big vocal hook, a skill which works particularly well in tandem with his bitingly sarcastic lyrics.) 13.00

LARAAJI - vision songs vol.1 LP (numero - Vision Songs Vol. 1 is the Laraaji album like no other, located at the intersection of new age and gospel, his outlier and magnum opus, the feel-good DIY tape of the century. Casio synth jams recorded at spiritual retreat guest rooms and a tiny bedroom on the Upper West Side in 1984, lysergically-spectacular anthems for a continually arriving new moment. “Channeled from the sky,” humbly offered on vinyl for the first time, this is where this is going on, this is where this is taking place, this is how this is going on. Is this very clear?) 25.00

LA VICE & CO. - two sisters from bagdad LP (jazzman - Known in the record collecting world as an incredibly rare album with just a handful of known copies, we present for the first time the full length album reissue of the 'Two Sisters From Bagdad' album as performed by La Vice & Co. Originally intended to be sold alongside performances of LaVice Hendrick's ambitious but ill-fated musical theatre production, the album's scarcity was swiftly ensured as 'Two Sisters From Bagdad' ran for just 2 weeks at Detroit's Bethel A.M.E. church amid poor attendances due to scant promotion. With only a handful of copies sold in that brief window, many of the remaining copies were subsequently destroyed in a basement flood, meaning that until now few people have ever heard the album in its entirety. A varied set of jazz and gospel infused funky soul, 'Two Sisters From Bagdad' was composed and orchestrated by two precocious young talents, E.J. Garrison and Rhodia McAdoo. It's an album full of surprises, and is notorious for the heavy funk workout 'Though's Were The Days' [sic]. Not only have we unearthed and faithfully reissued this true obscurity as the 26th part of our ongoing 'Holy Grail' series, but through interviews with Garrison and McAdoo themselves we have also uncovered the beguiling back story to the music, the play and the life and times of its original creator, the late LaVice Hendricks. As always the detail is revealed for the first time in our extensive new sleeve notes, and all because We Dig Deeper!) 27.00

MARTHYRIUM - Beyond The Thresholds LP (Finally available the vinyl version of the debut full lenght album of this Black / Death Metal band from Galiza (Spain), released by BlackSeed Productions. Mastered at Necromorbus Studios in Sweden and with an amazing graphic art and design by Mr. César Valladares to result in a superb work at the higher level. ) 14.00

MOON DUO - no fun 12“ (sacred bones - Limited white vinyl edition! Portland psych heroes Moon Duo are back with a new limited edition 12", featuring covers of classic songs by Alan Vega of Suicide and The Stooges. The covers were conceived during the band's last UK tour and produced by Sonic Boom. "We started playing 'No Fun' after BBC6 Radio asked us to record an Iggy song for his 70th birthday.) 14.00

NEGATIVA - "02" LP (Negativa offers eight new chapters of melodic but abrasive and discouraged Black Metal with its characteristic introspective sound crafted during the last years. ) 12.00

NILS FRAHM - all melody DLP (erased tapes - For the past two years, Nils Frahm has been building a brand new studio in Berlin to make his 7th studio album titled All Melody, which will be released on January 26th, 2018 via Erased Tapes, before Nils embarks on his first world tour since 2015. Since the day Nils first encountered the impressive studio of a family friend, he had envisioned to create one of his own at such a large scale. Fast forward to the present day and Nils is now the proud host of Saal 3, part of the historical 1950s East German Funkhaus building beside the River Spree. It is here where he has spent most of his time deconstructing and reconstructing the entire space from the cabling and electricity to the woodwork, before moving on to the finer elements; building a pipe organ and creating a mixing desk all from scratch with the help of his friends. This is somewhere music can be nurtured and not neglected, and where he can somewhat fulfil his pursuit of presenting music to the world as close to his imagination as possible.) 26.00

NORMIL HAWAIIANS - more wealth than money DLP (uoset the - Normil Hawaiians had a transformative 1982. With two 7" singles and a 12" EP under their belts they suddenly found themselves disillusioned with the increasingly generic sounds surrounding them, so they forced the hand of change and began reaching out with that very hand. The band's true constant in Guy Smith soon found himself with a new crew of musicians, Simon Marchant, Noel Blanden and Mark Tyler. Normil Hawaiians' communal take on post punk quickly sprouted leaves from its mouth, and began carving out a new furrow. Greater emphasis was awarded to improvisation within the group and as a result their songs embarked on longer, freer journeys towards the beaten bounds. They wanted these new songs to bear the weight of their new collective spirit so comfort zones had to be left behind. Tape loops, echo boxes, extended percussive sessions and duteous faith in the tones emanating from a particular old wah-wah pedal were all employed by Normil Hawaiians to stretch their sonic fabric into wild and redolent new dimensions. 'More Wealth Than Money' proved a vastly ambitious debut album, sprawling across four sides of vinyl in a way that still feels truly expansive, brave, cinematic even. From the plaintive pastoralism of ritish Warm' to the transcendental vistas of ther Ways Of Knowing', the album constantly surprises with its ringing trails of guitar, motorik pulse and synth rambles. From the striving incursion of ally IV' to the softly spoken disbelief of ellow Rain' the album is nothing short of a waking dream. Guy Smith's vocal floats through the album in a haunting manner, at times heartfelt at others overcome. He's on a quest to his own celestial city and we can stay for the whole journey if we only listen.) 25.00

PAULINE ANNA STROM - Trans-Millenia Music DLP (rvng intl. Otherworldly and anomalous, hushed and hallucinatory, Pauline Anna Strom’s unique style of inner space music reaches across time to futures and pasts far from our own. Trans-Millenia Music compiles 80 minutes of Strom’s most evocative work, composed and recorded between 1982 and 1988 across seven albums released in minimal vinyl and cassette editions. Strom’s heightened sensitivity to sound and spirited sensibility with the pioneering synthesizer tools of her trade elevates this music beyond the catch-all containers of New Age and ambient music into a realm of its own.) 28.00

REGIS - the master side 12“ (blackest ever black - The most important jazz album of 1964-65. 12" housed in die-cut sleeve. Vinyl-only release. "Trust is good but control is better.“) 14.00

SKULL CULT - s/t LP (ett - OK everyone! Let's start the ritual! THE SKULL CULT ARE BACK! THE SKULL CULT ARE BACK! Another gem from the fertile Indiana scene, and if you like stuff like Coneheads, CCTV, and Liquids it’s probably more or less a given that you’ll be into this as well. Skull Cult have elements of a lot those bands’ sounds as well as some of their own tricks.) 13.00

STEPHEN O'MALLEY - Cocon & Oiseau De Nuit LP (ausaat - BLACK VINYL A substantial, hugely immersive release from a true drone shaman, 'Cocon & Oiseau De Nuit' is one of our favourite O'Malley releases and is here pressed (in updated form) for the first time on vinyl following a limited cassette release several years ago. The album was originally created and explored as a thought experiment leading up to O’Malley’s work on SUNN O)))’s Monoliths & Dimensions sessions throughout 2007-2008; those recordings were then revisited and developed fundamentally in 2010 for the initial cassette release and again in 2017 for this vinyl edition. It's similar in form to his 'Keep An Eye Out' LP for Table Of The Elements and the 'Salt' album for iDEAL, wresting the blackest sub-harmonics and inherent micro-tonal shifts from ultra-minimal guitar technique. The effect is utterly immersive whether experienced on headphones or speakers, saturating your surroundings in scarred and bruising amp feedback below dry, dull clouds of ferric interference.  As the piece evolves O'Malley generates ever-more hypnotic swells of visceral, churned feedback conducted with stoic, instinctive control, flooding the space with abstract shapes and ghostly apparitions. ) 25.00

THOU & THE BODY - Released From Love and You, Whom I Have Always Hated DLP (thrill jockey - Both collaborative albums from The Body & Thou are finally available together on vinyl for the first time!  Featuring brand new and expanded artwork Released From Love and You, Whom I Have Always Hated are presented in a gatefold jacket with flooded black pockets, black paper inner sleeves and a deluxe 12 page 11” x 11” booklet and download card of all tracks.  The Body and Thou are bands with Southern roots that have been pushing the boundaries of heavy metal for over a decade. Both have maintained relentless touring schedules, a dedication to DIY ethics and aesthetics, and a commitment to push their respective brands of extreme music into previously unexplored territories. On their two collaborative releases they showcase their unique ability to create music that is emotionally effecting and unrelenting.) 26.00

UNWOUND - new plastic ideas LP (numero - Unwound: New Plastic Ideas An album Maximum Rock 'N' Roll deemed not punk enough to review, Unwound's 1994 sophomore effort was a lethal depth charge aimed at major label grunge and independent hardcore alike. From the off-kilter, vertiginous rhythm of Entirely Different Matters' to the neck-snapping velocity of What Was Wound' to the relentless pounding at the end of All Souls Day,' New Plastic Ideas is the Sonic Youth-loving older sister to Fake Train's post-punk-obsessed little brother. If you're seeking catharsis, here it is.' —Mother Jones) 20.00

VISIBLE CLOAKS - Reassemblage LP (rvng - Visible Cloaks’ Reassemblage is a collection of delicately rendered passages of silence and sound that invokes – and invites - consciousness. The foundation of the duo's second album could be described as translingual or polyglottal, working within an eastern / western feedback loop of influence, Fourth World ambiguity, and the universality of human emotion.) 22.00

V/A - Tokyo Flashback DLP (black editions - First ever vinyl edition of the legendary 1991compilation that defined the Tokyo psychedelic movement and first brought it to the outside world. Newly created artwork and design expanding on the original by Rob Carmichael at SEEN Sudio. Housed in custom printed deluxe Stoughton gatefold jacket with slipcase slipcase, including full color printed inner varnish. Remastered and cut by Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound and pressed to high quality vinyl at RTI - BACK IN STOCK!!!  Received an 8.3 Best New Reissue rating from Pitchfork.  Black Editions present the first ever vinyl edition of Tokyo Flashback, the legendary 1991 compilation that defined the Tokyo psychedelic movement and first brought it to the outside world. Tokyo Flashback is one of the most iconic compilations in the history of underground music. Originally released by Japan's P.S.F. Records, Tokyo Flashback defined the breathtakingly unique and previously obscured musical movement that had been developing in Japan since the late 1970s. The compilation features some of the earliest released recordings by KEIJI HAINO, HIGH RISE, MASAKI BATOH's GHOST, WHITE HEAVEN, FUSHITSUSHA , KOUSOKUYA, and MARBLE SHEEP. It captures the excitement and energy of a Tokyo awash in Technicolor and deep blacks; the music echoing krautrock, psychedelic freak-outs, garage, and no wave. At the same time it reveals astonishing, totally idiosyncratic expansions of rock music. In time, Tokyo Flashback expanded to a synonymous nine volume series that, over the following two decades, unveiled Japan's ever evolving soundscapes to the rest of the world. Tokyo Flashback is a defining statement of late 20th century Japanese psychedelic music and an essential primer to the world of P.S.F. All tracks are exclusive, this edition features the first time translation of the original liner notes. Black Editions' deluxe edition is entirely re-mastered and marks the first release of Tokyo Flashback outside of Japan and it's first ever vinyl issue. Also features VERZERK. Newly created artwork and design expanding on the original by ROB CARMICHAEL at SEEN Sudio; Housed in custom printed deluxe Stoughton gatefold jacket and slipcase, including full color printed inner sleeves and inserts with soft touch and spot UV gloss finishes; Remastered and cut by PETE LYMAN at Infrasonic Sound; Pressed to high quality vinyl at RTI.) 45.00
