KAYWINNET - 294km 7“ (zipl - Peeps of Tall As Trees, …Kaywinnet is about music, but it is also about thinking, do-it-yourself and awareness. This band is build on friendship and trust. Together we deal with topics we care about, like feminism, mental health awareness, left-wing politics, social justice, veganism and sci-fi/fantasy-references. ) 5.00

LP

BARROWLANDS - Tyndir LP (vendetta - Tyndir, a norse word for fallowed ground, speaks of the tension between nature and man and the realization that nature will ultimately reclaim all that man claims sacred. The music, at times melancholy and restrained and, at others, urgent and aggressive, illustrates the growth of the band and while still solidly rooted in the black metal tradition explores the fringes of other genres that surround it.“) 14.00

BELTEZ - Exiled, Punished...Rejected LP (A mixture between gloomy USBM and 90s Scandinavian Black Metal with a sinister individual touch hailing from Cologne, Germany.) 14.00

DAITRO - laisser vivre les squelettes LP (echo canyon - 300 copies on black vinyl (comes with lyric sheet, reproduction of flyers & other goodies) Hailing from Lyon, France, Daitro deliver a totally perfect blend of hardcore and emo, prooving that there are still some bands that possess the power and spirit of d.i.y. and punk that the original French emo movement held in the 90’s. At the same time, Daitro has no doubt created their own sound, full of new intensity, passion, and atmosphere) 13.00

LEIF VOLLEBEKK - North Americana LP (outside - Leif Vollebekk spent two years searching for perfect takes. This search took him from his home in Montreal to a studio in Manhattan, from a farmhouse in Woodstock, NY to a mansion outside Paris, and the result is a dusty, polished, new, old record called North Americana. “All this time,” Volleebekk says, “trying to get one take.” But the result is a beautiful, alive, human -- shambling ballads, noisy folk songs, vivid portraits of a 27-year-old’s watercolour life. “I feel like I created a record from 1970 something that no one’s heard before,” Vollebekk says. “I’m haggard and this record is all I got.”) 24.00

LUSTRE - Still Innocence LP (nordvis - In today’s callous world of over-inflated egos calling their ill-thought out shots, not to mention ruinous environmental politics, innocence among humankind is hard to come by. That is why we turn to the arts and to music in particular to reconnect with our long buried child-like sense of wonder. Fortunately Lustre have retained their shine and naiveté to serve as a portal to a simpler world where innocence and beauty reign. ) 24.00

LYDIA LUNCH & ROWLAND S. HOWARD - Siberia LP (For the first time on vinyl, here it is this astonishing performance from 1993 where Lydia Lunch and Rowland S. Howard exposed the intensity and most extreme sound as well as their perfect harmony and fraternity. The band includes Jim Sclavunos (from Sonic Youth, The Cramps, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, etc.) and Harry Howard (from These Immortal Souls). An absolutely necessary recording for all fans of these magnificent artists. Released under license from WidowSpeak Productions. ) 22.00

MIHAI EDRISCH - un jour sans lendemain LP (echo canyon - 500 copies on red & black mixed colored vinyl Comes with a 12 pages booklet with an interview of the band members from 2017, pictures and lyrics, reproductions of flyers and a DL code. A true labor of love ! Repressed for the first time of their full length released on Purepainsugar in 2005… Featuring members of Celeste, Daïtro, Baton Rouge, Lost Boys, Pinku Saido & more Mihai Edrisch was like a comet in the sky… shortlived but full of light. Active in the early 2000s, in a time when bands like Amanda Woodward, Daïtro, Belle Epoque, Gantz, Hyacinth, Sed Non Satiata& co were releasing records and touring, Mihai Edrisch as well had that (what is trademarked now as) ‘french screamo’ touch but they pushed the intensity, complexity and depth further than their peers. Driven by emotional high-ends guitars, heavy drums, aerial bass lines and desperate vocals, that album is a true masterpiece for the genre and it was time to bring it under the light once again.) 14.00

SERGE GAINSBOURG & JEAN CLAUDE VANNIER - Les Chemins De Katmandou LP (After decades in the making, Finders Keepers present the first-ever pressing of Serge Gainsbourg's most elusive studio recordings in Les Chemins De Katmandou. This was co-written, arranged and orchestrated by the genius Jean-Claude Vannier (the arranger behind 1971's Histoire De Melody Nelson) during what many consider to be the dynamic duo's most definitive creative period. It was believed that these recordings had been lost in a studio fire by Gainsbourg enthusiasts for over forty years (a myth that also shrouds Morricone's lost Danger Diabolik soundtrack). The misplaced master tapes for the drug-fueled/road-movie Les Chemins De Katmandou (1969) have been widely considered the final audio jigsaw piece in the Gainsbourg / Vannier discographies, thus earning this soundtrack a bona fide holy grail status amongst the most avid disc detectives. Featuring the original crack team of Paris based players now recognized as French library music royalty, this album epitomizes the inimitable musical direction and expert psychedelic pop musicianship that graced classic Gainsbourg / Vannier soundtracks like La Horse (1970), Cannabis (1970) and Sex Shop (1972). The sound laid the stylistic, future-proof foundations for subsequent decades of forward-thinking Gallic funk mastery. Comprising Vannier's signature recipe of thick plucked bass lines, close-mic'd drums, biting clavinet and Eastern influenced strings and percussion (and a sprinkling of subtle traditional French instrumentation), the soundtrack to Les Chemins De Katmandou (alternately titled in English as "The Road To Katmandu" or "The Pleasure Pit") captures Vannier and Gainsbourg in the first year of their creative partnership capturing their unique embryonic energy. The music on this record contains the full extent of the music found on the newly discovered studio tapes. It has since been preserved through the "baking" process, re-emulsified, transferred, remastered, recompiled and sequenced in accordance with the original screenplay in close collaboration with Finders Keepers and Jean-Claude Vannier.) 21.00

TERRY GREEN - s/t LP (upwind - We've been watching TERRY GREEN tear it up for almost half a decade and this 12"LP is the testament to those sweaty, passionate and raw years spent writing an exceptional album of screamy post-hardcore. Housing six basic tracks titled "I" to "VI", the release titled 'LP' will have you screaming, bobbing along or being floored by the band's precision and technical prowess at any given moment. Four awesome people making awesome music. That's why we do this. For fans of: Van Johnson, Daniel Striped Tiger and Nouveau) 12.00

ULTHA / PARAMNESIA - split LP (vendetta - his is a split between two black metal bands that I hold in very high esteem; Paramnesia from France, and Ultha from Germany. Paramnesia are the first band, offering up a 20-minute track named VI. Like their previous work, such as their split with Unru, the band deliver epic black metal, forged around a core of frozen might, and expanded with progressive, atmospheric, and melodic components.) 14.00

V/A - An eclectic selection of music from the Arab world DLP (habibi - Habibi Funk is dedicated to re-releasing a style of music that historically never existed as a musical genre. We use the term to describe a certain sound that we like from the countries of the Arab world. The songs we chose were created in places quite far from another and under very different circumstances. Some were written and recorded during war times, others in exile. Despite the differences we think there is a musical connection between them. Essentially, we are interested in the musical endeavors, in which artists from the Arab world mixed local and regional influences with musical interests that came from outside of the region. Even though the name suggests it’s all about funk music, our focus is more than just that. Often these influences might be inspired from Western popular music such as soul, pop and rock but it’s not limited to that either. Some of our favorite records are best described as Arabic zouk (a genre originating from the Caribbean islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe) like Mallek Mohamed’s music, Algerian coladera (a popular musical style from the Cape Verdean islands) or Lebanese AOR, which means the process of musical influences displayed on this compilation was much more versatile than just taking Western music as a blueprint and translating it with a local accent. The compilation features 15 different artists. Some you might already know thru Habibi Funk’s releases like Fadoul, Ahmed Malek, Dalton or Al Massrieen, while others are meant as an introduction to artists like Kamal Keila, Sharhabeel Ahmed, Attarazat Addahabia & Mallek Mohamed who will all release full length albums on Habibi Funk in 2018. We think it is important in today's reissue market, where too many shady business transactions happen, to be transparent about our licensing policies.)25.00

V/A - Nigdy Nie Będziesz Szedł Sam - Tribute To Guernica Y Luno LP + CD (Guernica Y Luno was an influential anarcho-punk band from Słupsk, Poland. Formed in 1992 and released till the late 90s a couple of significant records. "Nigdy Nie Będziesz Szedł Sam - Tribute to Guernica Y Luno" is a massive tribute sampler with numerous great bands like Drip Of Lies, Zerum, Life Scars, Guantanamo Party Program, The Lowest, …. Artwork by Rafał Wechterowicz / Too Many Skulls. Comes with 2 big booklets and the CD version of the LP. ) 12.00

7“

ROPE SECT - Proselytes 7“ (Following hot on the heels of the dark-horse triumph that is Personae Ingratae here, the German trio go from strength to strength, solidifying their idiosyncratic sound whilst offering daring new twists on it. Still a desolate fog of deathrock, dirty and lonerist, and uncaring for musical "progression" or conventional definitions of "excitement," ROPE SECT somehow make Proselytes sound perversely joyous (daresay danceable?) despite the supremely negative vibes being emitted. And, in fact, there is a positivism in such recalcitrance: Proselytes is thematically about enmeshing and lecturing proselytes. In the band's words, "Old lives are fading, a new one is dawning. A second skin. The beginning of the end." March forward, Proselytes, with ROPE SECT. ) 7.00

LP

BARROWLANDS - Tyndir LP (vendetta - "Tyndir, a norse word for fallowed ground, speaks of the tension between nature and man and the realization that nature will ultimately reclaim all that man claims sacred. The music, at times melancholy and restrained and, at others, urgent and aggressive, illustrates the growth of the band and while still solidly rooted in the black metal tradition explores the fringes of other genres that surround it.“) 14.00

BELUS - apophenia LP (vendetta - In 2010, guitarist Matt Mewton (also of Brooklyn-based black metal legion WOE) joined forces with bassist Lesley Wolf (of Brooklyn-based blackened sludge band, MORTALS), and drummer Jacques Johnson. Realizing their doomed black metal style struck a chord, the trio began demoing material and playing live. After two self-released demo releases, a blistering and massive two song contribution to a split release with ANICON, and a limited edition EP, BELUS forged a bond with Vendetta Records to release their latest and most shuddersome offering to date. Apophenia delivers seven new songs packed to the brim with merciless, rippling, and suffocating atmosphere. Each song is crafted with authentic, proficient guitar and bass work that focuses on massive riffs without studio trickery. Ritualistic and steadfast guitar and bass tones speak their own languages as they slither throughout Apophenia. Clever and intuitive drumming drive merciless triplet-blasted fervor into each song and pumps life into the bleak and dark pulse of the world. Apophenia brings agonizing, indignant, and thunderous anthems of unwavering whispers of dissonance through an immortal storm. The unrelenting, bleak aura of Apophenia puts forth an acrimonious pall while reaching for serenity.) 14.00

THE COURTNEYS - s/t LP (flying nun - Vinyl reissue of THE COURTNEYS' self-titled debut album! Sun drenched flying nun influenced pop with sweet licks that'll stick with you for days. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jordan Koop @ The Noise Floor and initially released on Hockey Dad Records in June 2013. Jen Twynn Payne - Drums/Lead Vocals Sydney Koke - Bass/Vocals Courtney Loove - Guitar/Vocals) 18.00

DEATH - Individual Thought Patterns Reissue LP (relapse - DEATH, the heavy metal institution founded, realized, and helmed by legendary guitarist Chuck Schuldiner, released the Individual Thought Patterns album (the follow-up to their watershed Human release) in 1993. Expectations were high following Human, but Schuldiner proved once again that he could rise to any occasion. Individual Thought Patterns further honed the forward-thinking and progressive direction birthed with Human, and included “The Philosopher”; arguably the best song to ever come from the world of extreme metal and to this date the most widely-recognized.) 23.00

FJORT - grand couleur LP (New LP by Fjort - Modern emotional post hardcore. The record shows once again a wide range of modern heavy guitar music – leading from post-rockish delay parts to heavy and drum driven dark hardcore parts. Think of a mixture of PIANO BECOME THE TEETH, BIRDS IN ROW, TIDAL SLEEP and JUNGBLUTH. Well done.) 17.00

JULIEN BAKER - Turn Out The Lights LP (matador - clear vinyl - Julien Baker's solo debut, "Sprained Ankle," was one of the most widely hailed works of 2015. With "Turn Out The Lights," Baker returns to a much bigger stage, but with the same core of breathtaking vulnerability and resilience. Strings and woodwinds now shade the corners of her compositions, and Baker takes to piano rather than guitar on several tracks, pushing the 21-year-old's work to cinematic heights of intensity. Vinyl version includes digital download.) 21.00

THE NATIONAL - Sleep Well Beast DLP (4AD - Sleep Well Beast  was produced by member Aaron Dessner with co-production by Bryce Dessner and Matt Berninger.  The album was mixed by Peter Katis and recorded at Aaron Dessner’s Hudson Valley, New York studio, Long Pond, with additional sessions having taken place in Berlin, Paris and Los Angeles.  The National have slowly seeped into our consciousness over the past few years simply by selling truckloads of records and becoming a thing we regularly compare other bands to when at a loss to describe moody rock music. Their success really is quite remarkable. Anyway here’s another album which contains more of their dramatic dark rock with some electronic bits bolted on. If you like The National you are going to love it. ) 25.00

ULTHA / PARAMNESIA - split LP (vendetta - This is a split between two black metal bands that I hold in very high esteem; Paramnesia from France, and Ultha from Germany. Paramnesia are the first band, offering up a 20-minute track named VI. Like their previous work, such as their split with Unru, the band deliver epic black metal, forged around a core of frozen might, and expanded with progressive, atmospheric, and melodic components. Paramnesia’s blistering delivery is ramped up in intensity by the needle-thin screams of their singer. Around these slices of venom, entire architectures of emotive blackness spring up and die down at the whim of their creators. Sometimes the band will craft these structures from blasting extremity, while at others the pace slows and time is taken to explore different atmospheric avenues. Introspective, lonesome post-metal-esque sections appear too, showing that the band are adept at shaded, reflective delivery as well, before inevitably unleashing Hellfire once more. Whatever they’re actually doing on this song though, it’s effective and extremely enjoyable. Ultha’s debut album Converging Sins was so hideously impressive that it rather quickly achieved a prominent position in my end of year best of 2016 list. Now that I have had the time to process it even more, it would have placed even higher. The band’s contribution to this split – The Seventh Sorrow, 18 minutes in length – shows Ultha have lost none of their talent for highly-engaging music. The Seventh Sorrow is atmospheric and fiery, with gripping melodies and dark mood both present in abundance. With equally abundant bleak melancholy and in-depth emotive content, as well as crazily infectious guitar parts, this song demonstrates firmly that the quality of the material on Converging Sins wasn’t a one off. Ultha remain one of my favourite atmospheric black metal bands. On this split they, and Paramnesia, have created something extremely satisfying and worthy. This is a 38 minute, high-quality, high-value split, one which you must seek out at your earliest convenience. ( wondderboxmetal)) 14.00

VASSAFOR - Malediction LP (VASSAFOR should need no introduction. For the past decade and a half, since the band's reactivation with their Demo II in 2005, this New Zealand cult have patiently plied their idiosyncratic craft, pushing the boundaries of black and death metal ever further whilst driving deep into each's collective core. Although some will argue that they reached their apotheosis with 2012's debut album, Obsidian Codex - a true, two-disc double album - VASSAFOR played their most daring hand with respective split LPs with comrades Sinistrous Diabolus and Temple Nightside. In miniature, these works amplified the simultaneously world-eating/ethereal textures that lay at the heart of the VASSAFOR aesthetic. Now, after an intense two years in the shadows, the band's grandest work is about to be revealed: Malediction. Simply put, Malediction is a statement of intent. A purely Satanic album, in the band's eyes, and one which draws a line firmly in the sand, this is pure Southern Vassaforian Hell driven to the outer reaches of primitivism and transcendence. Here, VASSAFOR strip bare their most barbaric tendencies, down to their most unapologetic form, and build anew a temple of unimaginable might. The maw of chaos opens ever wide, beckoning the listener to submit and be devoured; meanwhile, tendrils of tension untether in a manner most ambient. If any of VASSAFOR's earlier work achieved a sense of vertigo - and it surely has - then Malediction is the band's most potent distillation/distortion of such yet. Across a time-evaporating/halting 50 minutes, each of the five tracks comprising Malediction work as mantra and spell simultaneously. Doom(ier) elements are largely traded for utter violence and virulence, which somehow makes the end result all the more stultifying and psychedelic in equal measure. Black Metal of Death: Southern Vassaforian HELL. Armed with dreadnought decibels, Vassafor do the indoctrination - not the other way around. This is the Malediction you deserve. Begin the reckoning HERE! ) 19.00

WORM - Evocation of the Black Marsh LP (Hailing from the swampy recesses of Florida, the American WORM is the work of one mysterious Fantomslaughter. To date, he's done two rare demos, The Deep Dark Earth Underlines All (2014) and Nights in Hell (2016), but now as a duo alongside one Equimanthorn, WORM present the fullest distillation of their foul 'n' fetid aesthetic in Evocation of the Black Marsh. ) 16.00

V/A - Nigdy Nie Będziesz Szedł Sam - Tribute To Guernica Y Luno LP + CD (hasiok - Guernica Y Luno was an influential anarcho-punk band from Słupsk, Poland. Formed in 1992 and released till the late 90s a couple of significant records. TAPES

[BOLT] - (04) TAPE (narshardaa - ( 0 4 ) is the first full-length by [ B O L T ] as a trio. In comparison to their earlier output the sound is more propulsive and structured. Emerging out of oppressive silence and ending up in ecstatic noise and drone, [ B O L T ] create waving sounds and crushing riffs. The trio presents a set in between the genres of drone, doom and metal. The album was written and recorded in the end of 2016. Mastering was done by Tobias Stieler (Kokomo).) 7.00

TIME LURKER - EP I & EP II TAPE (monoton - When unity became a strength and music turns back time: two universes gather as one. In the blizzard of Strasbourg, France, the black metal of this one-man band perpetually converges with those cold atmospheres, drowned in the darkness and lurking in the shadows in order to fuse those two EP’s ; EP’s that melt and mix to create a first album. It’s time to be scared, the lurker is coming, you can hear its footsteps… Born in 2014, TIME LURKER is an atmospheric Black Metal one-man band from Strasbourg, France. This project, led by Mick, is influenced by Altar Of Plagues, Weakling, Yellow Eyes or Krallice. TIME LURKER’s concept is based on a long and introspective journey facing the Human nature, leading us to confronte our demons shaped by our doubts and fears. This journey is at a crossroad between Jules Verne and HP Lovecraft. Several featuring with bands from Strasbourg and Paris such as Thibo (Paramnesia, Jeanne), Tony (Rance), Cédric (End of Mankind, Pyrecult), Clem (Le Mal des Ardents) have contributed to create Time Lurker. ) 7.00

ANDY HUMAN & THE REPTOIDS - Kill The Comma / Do The Mole 7“ (Bay Area veteran ANDY HUMAN has been a mainstay in the DIY punk community over the past few years. An accomplished and extremely productive musician, Andy Human has sharpened his pop-chops as a member of critically acclaimed bands such as THE WORLD, RAZZ, BEATNIKS, THE CUTZ, THE TIME FLYS and LENZ. THE REPTOIDS provide Andy the space to excel within a KBD-punk framework, with his vibrant take on R’n’R, (with a little bit of weird thrown in to keep you on your toes). Recent Andy Human and the Reptoids singles have appeared, (this year), on the acclaimed punk labels Goodbye Boozy and Total Punk. Emotional Response is excited and proud to release this dazzling 7-inch. Reverse board print, limited 500 with download and postcard.) 7.00

HEAVY WEATHER / THE HOPE AND THE FAILURE - split 7“ (This split 7" marks the return of swedish post-hc veterans THE HOPE AND THE FAILURE, which reunited after the break up of Ina's other band Heart on my Sleeve! And it also marks the vinyl debut by a young band out of canada: HEAVY WEATHER!  Both deliver intense and various Post-Hardcore: Raw, diverse, sweet at moments, but yet very deep and complicated!  Comparisons fail here...just listen to the tracks for yourself! It will be worth the time! 300 Records made. All come in a foldout sleeve with lyrics and included is a downloadcard. This record is a cooperation with Blind Eye Records from Canada.) 5.00

NOTS - Anxious Trend / In Glass 7“ (famous lass - The unrelenting Age of Anxiety that surrounds us all on both a personal and political level influenced the newest NOTS 7” “Anxious Trend / In Glass”. It’s a rhythmic mess punctuated by lyrics dealing with turmoil and shock as the new normal. Both songs were recorded with ANDREW MCCALLA straight to tape in a top secret Memphis haunt late July 2017.) 10.00

LP

45 GRAVE - Sleep In Safety LP (real gone - Formed from putrefying remnants of THE GERMS, THE CONSUMERS, THE BAGS, THE GUN CLUB and THE SCREAMERS, among other LA punk outfits, 45 GRAVE were arguably the first American Goth / deathrock band and inarguably one of the best. Fronted by the Exene-meets-Vampirella vocal and visual stylings of DINAH CANCER (still one of the greatest stage names in a punk rock genre full of ‘em), 45 Grave also featured PAUL B. CUTLER on guitar, DON BOLLES on drums, ROB (RITTER) GRAVES on bass, and PAUL ROESSLER on keyboards, and from that all-star line-up came 1983’s Sleep in Safety, their lone studio release and only recording with the band’s original members. Probably most famous for the first appearance of the horrifyingly graphic, true-crime track “Partytime,” the single version of which was subsequently cut in 1985 and featured on The Return of the Living Dead soundtrack, Sleep in Safety also offered the early MTV track “Evil” and the band “theme song” “45 Grave” among other blandishments for those who like their rock and roll with a side of the macabre. Packaged in gatefold jackets with lyrics and a custom innersleeve drawn from the band’s very rare “A Tale of Strange Phenomena” press release. Limited edition of 1,000 copies on ghastly green vinyl.) 32.00

ABKEHR - In Asche LP (Black Metal done the old, bloody way. Abkehr’s debut LP is the first breath into this world of a swelling and pulsating black metal shadow-feeding frenzy. The recluse Northern Germany-based duo creates ominous and ravaging songs that explore the many manifestations of darkness, hopelessness, evil, and annihilation - condensing them into heathen sonic form to distill their very own expression of actual hell. Hideously and relentlessly crawling across four vast movements of pure incarnated darkness, Abkehr’s “In Asche” is a towering and commanding work in the current underground black metal panorama, which has managed to harness the primordial savagery of bands like Craft, the vast and enveloping hopelessness of bands like Weakling and Ash Borer, and the visionary wretchedness of brilliant black metal anomalies like Twilight and Leviathan, to create their own personal passageway into a tormented and shadow-torn world.) 15.00

ALESIA COSMOS - Exclusivo! LP (dark entries - Alésia Cosmos was a collective of musicians led by Bruno de Chénerilles formed in the early 1980s in Strasbourg, France. The group consisted of Pascal Holtzer (guitar, synthesizer, tapes, drum machine, vocals), Pierre Clavreux (vocals, gong), Marie-Berthe Servier (vocals), Bruno (guitar, tapes, synthesizer, drum machine, vocals) and Tunisian percussionist Lotfi Ben Ayed (darbukas, bendir). In 1981 Bruno composed and wrote some sci-fi radio plays for French state radio channel France Culture. Under the influences of William Burroughs, John Cage, Pierre Henry and others, he developed tape music studio work. By 1982 he appeared for the first time under the name Alésia Cosmos Furi Show. It was a solo performance on guitar, voice, analog synth and tapes. This experimental show lead to a music project based on Bruno and Pascal's compositions to be performed and recorded with other musicians in the beginning of 1983. Exclusivo! was the group’s debut album recorded and self-released in 1983 on Planetarium. Pascal and Bruno would compose tunes in their personal home studios. Then they would bring the tapes, electronics, guitar lines and lyrics to experiment and rehearse with the other members of the group. Improvisations and adaptations brought more ideas and the album was recorded in a few days. The result was a musical mixing of electronic music, field recordings, North African and Asian percussion, electric guitars and voices, compositions and free improvisations. All four musicians take turns singing onomatopoeic phrases and backing vocals, even sometimes in an unknown language, a sort of mixed bag between Breton and Japanese. All songs have been remastered cut by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each LP is housed in a replica of the 1983 cover and includes a 6-page insert with photos, lyrics, reviews and liner notes by Bruno de Chénerilles.) 21.00

AMENRA - Mass VI LP (neurot - US PRESS ON NEUROT - Contrasts have always been deep and at the very heart of Amenra, who have been uttering prayers and holding masses for eighteen years. Tormented darkness has always coexisted alongside luminous beauty, and thunderous impacts instantly follow frail, delicate subtleties. Songs that engulf everyone in the world suddenly feel whispered inside a solitary womb. Mass VI is here, and more than any other album in the band’s past, it highlights those contrasts.   The eerie quiet of the first couple minutes of “Children Of The Eye” announces the coming storm, and the nine explosive, cathartic minutes that follow hold all the striking disparate emotions one expects from the band. This album is an emotional rollercoaster until its very last second, when “Diaken” abruptly ends at its very climax. Every band member is stretched to their physical limits throughout: Colin H. Vaneeckhout (vocals) puts in the performance of a lifetime, but he is inextricably intertwined to the guitar-work of Mathieu J. Vandekerckhove; Lennart Bossu expresses unimaginable weight, both physical and spiritual, as well as weaving melodies of the utmost delicacy; the rhythm section of Levy Seynaeve and Bjorn J. Lebon rumbles like a consuming thunderstorm or retreat to the shadows with flowing spontaneity. No love without pain. No life without death. No light without darkness. That is the conflict at the heart of the album and at the heart of what it means to be human, and this music wrenches that ambivalence out.  It’s hard to think of a better person to capture this enormity than Billy Anderson. The legendary American producer was already the chosen one for Mass V, and between Neurosis’s Through Silver In Blood, Sleep’s Dopesmoker, and Eyehategod’s Dopesick, among many others, he’s been a decisive element in the building of many a true classic.) 25.00

ARROWHEAD - maunder LP (life - lifeisafunnything proudly presents you the brandnew 12" EP by Arrowhead! After their breathtaking split 12" with Forever Losing Sleep earlier this year, they put up another 3 intense, deep and dark tracks of modern and melancholic hardcore. As i am always bad with words, let's see what idioteq.com had to say about "Maunder":  "Boston, Massachusetts’s ARROWHEAD blends driving, emotional music with lush, ambient soundscapes in an effort to create a connection with the listener. Taking influence from both modern and classic ambient and experimental artists, the band strives to bridge the gap between the esoteric and the conventional. By combining artistic passion with technical expression, ARROWHEAD lives somewhere in between chaos and order, and you can literally hear that on their new EP, which we’re premiering below! Serving a quality follow up to their early 2017 split with FOREVER LOSING SLEEP, “Maunder” is an impressive picturesque recording that showcases ARROWHEAD’s ability to create genuine beauty with a varied, at times abrasive, palette.“ 200 Records are made. All include an extra art-sheet and a downloadcard!) 12.00

ARROWHEAD / FOREVER LOSING SLEEP - split LP (lifeisafunnything is more than proud to present you this breathtaking split record! Two bands, two songs and a running time of 17 minutes full of intense emotions, desperate outbursts and fulgent melodies! ARROWHEAD from Boston and FOREVER LOSING SLEEP from New Jersey, both deliver their best effort so far by leaving musical borders behind and creating a 17 minute long trip through darkness and light on this onesided record! ) 12.00

ARVO PÄRT - Für Alina LP (mississippi - Compilation of our favorite ARVO PART pieces. All sparse and beautiful arrangements. Some solo piano pieces, some duets with piano, violin cello and viola and one string quartet. The pieces on this record are all unique to the style of Arvo Part—deceptively simple compositions that force you to live in the moment you are listening to them. A Part quote from the back of the record: “You can kill people with sound. And if you can kill, then maybe there is also the sound that is opposite of killing. And the distance between these two points is very big. And you are free—you can choose. In art everything is possible, but everything is not necessary.” Record comes in a beautiful tip-on old school cover with shiny gold ink and features an incredible painting from the 16th century manuscript Kometenbuch.) 21.00

A. SAVAGE - Thawing Dawn LP (dull tools - The debut solo album from A. SAVAGE (aka ANDREW SAVAGE of PARQUET COURTS). "The songs on Thawing Dawn form a guided tour through the romantic environs of A. Savage’s mirrored mind. While some were written recently, other tunes were penned over the past decade. For one reason or another, these compositions didn’t land with any of Savage’s other groups, and instead are presented now as a distinct collection... These ten songs were recorded by a cast of friends in JARVIS TAVENIERE's Thump Studios in Brooklyn. Members of WOODS, ULTIMATE PAINTING, PC WORSHIP, EZTV, SUNWATCHERS and PSYCHIC TV all lend their talents. Savage’s voice, once shouted into mosh pits, now glides confidently above its backing band. Thawing Dawn marks the arrival point for Savage as a sensitive and skilled vocalist. Limited first edition of 500 copies housed in tip-on jackets. Includes a download. ) 22.00

BASIL KIRCHIN - Worlds Within Worlds LP (superior - Basil Kirchin was a pioneering British composer who blurred the lines between musical genres. While his career began in the ‘40s as a professional jazz drummer, in the ‘60s he started to make field-recordings, painstakingly splicing tapes and slowing-down sounds until the source material would be virtually unrecognizable. Originally released on Island Records in 1974, Worlds Within Worlds juxtaposes Kirchin’s various tape manipulations—amplified insects, animals, engines, glossolalia of children—with traditional musical instruments to form an organic totality that has the overall effect of otherworldly, ambient soundscapes. As Brian Eno writes in the liner notes on the original release, “Within the first couple of minutes it became obvious to me that Basil had not only discovered a whole new area of sound, but had exploited it with extreme skill and sensitivity, producing beautiful and evocative music as well…. So Basil Kirchin has made a double contribution: he has not only built the instrument, but has written and played the first successful works for it.” Worlds Within Worlds remains a lost classic in sonic abstraction. This first-time reissue is recommended for fans of Broadcast, Aphex Twin and Nurse With Wound.) 25.00

CHAVIRE - Interstices LP (stonehenge - "Emotional hardcore from France. Do you perhaps like Daïtro? This will most likely be your jam.“) 12.00

CHAVIRE - Des Bruits Qui Restent LP (stonehenge - Mastered by Will Killingsworth (Ampere, Ritual Mess, Orchid) at the legendary Dead Air Studio in Massachusetts, Des Bruits Qui Restent is the follow-up of Chaviré’s outstanding debut. The French emo / screamo collective was able to refine their previous work, dishing up two new tracks alongside five notorious ones from their demo. The new songs impress by the interaction between the instruments, which are perfectly harmonizing together. None of them goes down in the overall composition. At least since the release of this new EP you should all keep your ears on Chaviré.) 12.00

COLIN POTTER – The Abominable Slowman LP (This new release by Colin Potter, “The Abominable Slowman”, is the logical follow-on from his previous 2015 LP “Rank Sonata”. Like that album, there are elements that were recorded many years ago, but this work also contains new music. Again, the emphasis is on rhythm, although the rhythmic components range from conventional drum sounds to strange electronic and/or mutated outbursts, often accompanied by squalling guitars. As to what this sounds like, keywords would be soundtrack, experimental, ambient, electronic psychedelia, contemporary, drone…. ) 20.00

DEATH FORTRESS - Triumph Of The Undying LP (fallem empire - BACK IN STOCK!!! "Following the release of their debut album, Among the Ranks of the Unconquerable, New Jersey triumvirate DEATH FORTRESS quickly became one of my favourite Black Metal acts of the modern era. Heck, I’d even go so far as to say that they’re one of the very best Black Metal bands ever to come out of the USA at this point... If you’d harboured any doubts about the ability of Aversario, Warrior, and Eldridge to deliver the goods again so soon after the release of the fantastic Deathless March of the Unyielding, these should be quickly dispelled by the gloriously evil and shamelessly malevolent tones of opener 'Storming Wrath,' whose every writhing riff, rippling blastbeat, and ravenous vocal part positively drips with malice and moody, morbid atmosphere..."—No Clean Singing) 20.00

DEATH OF LOVERS - The Acrobat LP (dias - Since the 2014 release of Philly outfit Death of Lover’s acclaimed debut EP “Buried Under a World of Roses”, many wondered if a full length follow-up for the band was even possible – largely due to the extensive touring schedule of Domenic, Nick, and Kyle’s other band: Nothing.  But between 2016 and 2017, the four piece band (that includes keyboard player CC Loo) was able to find the time to focus, demo, write, and carve out a stunning new direction and polished sound for the band.  “The Acrobat”represents that labor of love, and Death of Lovers have created one of the most eye-opening alternative records we’ve heard in years. Thoughtful compositions weave driving synths, drums and guitars through lock-step rhythm and nostalgia before shattering into intricate and spacious instrumental breaks. There is a welcome complexity and depth to the tracks, which dance between moody and sweeping to sparkling and bright – creating a beautiful contrast to the honest and dark lyrics. Somehow, The Acrobat achieves warm familiarity while sounding completely new.  While the tracks could easily have been included on the soundtrack to every one of your favorite 80s films, there is a fresh perspective and process evident in the songwriting that rewrites the “post-punk” rulebook.) 23.00

ELDER - Dead Roots Stirring DLP (With Dead Roots Stirring, their second full length album, ELDER returned from a three year silence with five songs charting new epic territory. Tremendous musical and songwriting growth take this album into a great new territorry. Equal parts hypnotic rhythm, uncompromising heaviness, and soaring melody, Elder navigated between moods and sounds effortlessly. Heaviness is not sacrificed by any means, the power of the riff is undiminished, it is further elevated by the sonic space inbetween giving us time to let them sink in completely. Continuously moving both backward towards their roots in heavy rock while also moving forward into more progressive and psychedelic territory, this is a huge and influential step forward. Pressed on exclusive blue in purple colored vinyl and housed in deluxe gatefold jackets with poster.  "Where the first album was heavily indebted to Sleep’s stoner caravanning and dropping out of life, the new five-song collection has expanded Elder’s reach sonically, branching into a more complex realm of psychedelic melody.”—The Obelisk) 31.00

ERAI - same LP (life is a funny - lifeisafunnything brings you the debut 12" by ERAI out of Berlin!  Being a tragic story of love and hate in six Songs, this record has a wide range of musical influences.  Started with the classic 90s screamo like Policy of 3 or Chino Horde in mind, more and more modern influences found their way into the sound of ERAI! So this selftitled debut 12" became an melancholic, dark and intense blend of screamo, emo, posthardcore and even some indie/alternative-rock!  Music to sit down and read along the lyrics while listening to it! A record, in which you will find new details every time you listen to it! 200 Records are made. All include a lyric-sheet and a downloadcard and are packed into a diy screenprinted and painted inside-out-sleeve!) 12.00

GLORIOUS DIN - Leading Stolen Horses LP (burka - “Fronted by an intense singer with an oblique songbook and a mysterious past, Glorious Din were unlike any other group to emerge from San Francisco’s ‘80s underground. GLORIOUS DIN - Closely Watched Trains LP (onderstroom - ow a boy from the Sri Lankan jungle formed the greatest post-punk band you’ve never heard. Fronted by an intense singer with an oblique songbook and a mysterious past Glorious Din were unlike any other group to emerge from San Francisco’s ‘80s underground.

LUMPY AND THE DUMPERS - Those Pickled Fuckers LP us press (lumpy - “Since emerging five years ago LUMPY AND THE DUMPERS have gone from being aberrant oddballs to key figures in a whole scene of weirdo punk. Through Lumpy Records and its influence a grubby morrass of freak punk has bubbled to the surface in their slimy wake. Those Pickled Fuckers is the sound of a band distinguishing themselves from a sound they inspired, not falling into the easiness of a sound, finding new ways to express their grubby vision while retaining the essential muck that made people take notice in the first place. Over seven tracks of gritty discomfort punk, bulging with bodyhorror blues and puerile manic imprecations, Lumpy and the Dumpers revel and writhe in the effluvia of life and the rude pangs and oozings of flesh. Revivifying the dead metaphor of the earworm, these songs burrow snugly into your brain, distorted sing-song playground melodies, like hell dimension children's show theme songs, exploding with weird turns and twists, from the blaring horns of Someone's In The House's paranoiac stomp, to the wild malfunctioning chiptune screams cutting through Attention and the sinister whoops and crashes of the oddly mellow Clatter Song, Those Pickled Fuckers is an album only Lumpy and the Dumpers could've made.”—Joe Briggs) 17.00

NASTI - Big Achievements LP (iron lung - It’s hot as fuck in here. Big Achievements is churning mix-tempo hardcore punk with badboy breakdowns and subtly sophisticated change ups that will leave you scratching your sweat makers. If you can't skate and you can't slam then you can at least wiggle your nuggets to the ratchet beat. Get into it. Don't be shy. We love you. Shit yeah. We've been waiting for what seems like a century and the wait is well worth it. If this one doesn't make the year end lists then punk is broken. 350 copies housed in a heavy duty pasteboard jacket with lyric sheet and a poster. Art by Riley Kerr. Sounds by Ian Crist. All made in the Pacific Northwest. A pure record. Eat it.) 18.00

If you like The National you are going to love it. ) 25.00

OTTO A TOTLAND - The Lost LP standard edt. (sinoc pieces - Standard version (LP: Full Tone Cover Artwork, incl. printed Inner Sleeve) The Lost follows and expands on Otto A Totland's intimate debut solo piano album Pinô from 2014. Once again several days were spent in Nils Frahm's legendary Durton studio to lay down both composed and improvised pieces of quiet beauty. While mostly residing in a small Norwegian coastal town, Otto has been trying to escape the constant movement towards fast paced, polluted lives, where it seems like sounds and impressions never stop. The Lost can be seen as a countermovement towards this development - something genuine and personal. There's a lightness felt while listening, and yet an overwhelming feeling of melancholy and nostalgia captures you through the lenght of the album. It could be described as pure timelessness captured with the best vintage recording technique you can find, opening up to a new wider scope and detail while keeping the intimacy as if it would be played right besides you. The humming of the world and the warmth of the piano shines through like a natural accompaniment as they enthrall from beginning to end.) 20.00

PANDIT PRAN NATH - The Raga Cycle, Palace Theatre, Paris 1972 Vol. 2 DLP (soliel - “The raga cycle given by Pandit Pran Nath at the Palace Theater in Paris 1972 was the first time a Master Indian Classical Vocalist had presented three consecutive days of ragas sung at the appropriate times of day, giving the Western audience insight into the characteristics that inform the moods and atmospheres of evening, afternoon, and morning ragas. “The recording here is from the Saturday, May 27, 1972 afternoon concert and features Raagini Bheempalasi and Raag Puriya Dhanaashree. This is the Maestro at the very summit of his creative and vocal powers. His inspiration merged with his excitement of being in Paris and added to the uniqueness of these performances. As he guided his ragas at an unhurried pace with a surety and command of the musical language, details emerge in the music so profound that new delights continue to surface. “Pandit Pran Nath was born in 1918 in Lahore, India which was to become Pakistan. He was one of the foremost disciples of the legendary singer, Ustad Abdul Waheed Khan, Sahib of Kirana. Khan Sahib was known for his long extended renditions of ragas in the melodic Kirana style, often lasting hours. His knowledge of raga science was unparalleled, allowing him to unveil endless permutations and combinations of phrases. Pandit Pran Nath absorbed this knowledge of raga from his Guru, building on these majestic forms in a unique and inimitable way. Pran Nath’s rich vocal quality and imaginative renditions of well-known ragas singled him out as one of the greatest masters in the history of Indian Classical Music.) 29.00

PEPPERMINT LOUNGE - Perfect High 12“ (dark entries - Dark Entries Editions is proud to reissue "Perfect High" the 1983 debut 12” by Peppermint Lounge from Germany. The group consisted of Matthias Elvers (synthesizers, bass), Regina Petersen (vocals) and Jorg Burckhardt (drums, strings). They took their name from a popular 1960s discotheque in New York City. Treading the lines between Italo Disco, Electro, and New Wave, the trio crafted a unique sound difficult to classify. Regina’s powerful vocals command attention as they tell the sad tale of a boy searching for the perfect high. The lyrics are based on the poem “The Perfect High” by Shel Silverstein. Melancholic arpeggiators, a throbbing baseline, stuttering samples, vocoder and the classic Roland TR-808 drum machine run throughout the track, which builds to a majestic crescendo, ala Klaus Schulze or Jean-Michel Jarre. This reissue includes the original vocal version, backed with a shorter instrumental version. Each copy also includes a 2-sided postcard lyrics and notes.) 15.00

RICK DEITRICK - River Sun River Moon LP (tompkins square - BACK IN STOCK!!! Tompkins Square is proud to release two solo acoustic guitar albums by RICK DEITRICK. Gentle Wilderness was released as a private press LP in 1978. River Sun River Moon consists of previously unreleased recordings from the same time period. Rick pressed 500 copies of his tranquil solo guitar record, Gentle Wilderness, in 1978 on Niodrara Records, and sold many at performances and directly to music shops who would pay for them.  He gave copies to various libraries and left a few albums in the middle of the wilderness, next to trails, “so people would find them.” Rick sought inspiration in nature and in particular the various rivers scattered around the Western United States, often composing songs seated beside them—and even occasionally perched on boulders in them. He never played the songs the same way twice and did two passes on each composition in studio. Rick would sometimes literally come straight out of the mountains and rush to the studio to record the ideas he’d gathered. Rick currently resides in Los Angeles, “still strumming, waiting for the other shoe to drop.” ) 18.00

SARIN - Psychic Stress LP (burka for - "One of the most evil projects currently emerging from the electronic underground, SΛRIN combines terrorizing industrial with menacing EBM and black shades of techno, wave and more [...] the artist is also one half of Konkurs, a project with Blush Response, with an excellent release on Veleno Viola." -www.TheBrvtalist.com) 18.00

SONNY CLARK TRIO - The 1960 Time Sessions DLP (tompkins square - BACK IN STOCK!!!  "This lesser-known Sonny Clark session (his only studio album not made for Blue Note) is sometimes issued under drummer Max Roach's name, too. They are joined by bassist George Duvivier for a set of generally obscure Clark originals including 'Minor Meeting,' 'Blues Mambo,' and 'My Conception' (which is taken as an unaccompanied piano solo). Although not obvious while listening to his recording, Clark's life was in decline and this would be his penultimate date as a leader.“—AllMusic) 33.00

SUICIDE - First Rehearsal Tapes LP (superior - On Suicide’s First Rehearsal Tapes, recorded in 1975, Alan Vega and Martin Rev create minimalist aural structures, traces of which would surface on their eponymous debut album, released on the Red Star label in late 1977. “These songs are not a sketchpad of semi-formed ideas. The First Rehearsal Tapes comprise an audio diary of two men out in the ether, measuring themselves as evolving individual artists and as a unit who would rely on inseparability to realize their unique and often confrontational mass in the decades to come. What the tapes also reveal is that Vega and Rev were compositionally ambitious, capable of melody and form, while resisting definition as they headed further into uncharted territory. “The First Rehearsal Tapes afford the listener a glimpse into the creative process of two groundbreaking, true art warriors with their swords and shields leaning against the practice room wall. To understand the absolute brilliance of Suicide’s first album as well as their sonic adventures that followed, you have to start here with their earliest recordings.” —Henry Rollins (excerpt from the liner notes)) 25.00

SUNRA & HIS ARKESTRA - Featuring Pharaoh Sanders And Black Harold LP (superior - “To understand the significance of the word ‘featuring’ on Featuring Pharoah Sanders And Black Harold, consider how infrequently Sun Ra used it and the exact way it had been used. “The October Revolution in Jazz, organized by Bill Dixon in the West Village in 1964, presented a vivid cross section of approaches to the new music, including a sextet led by Ra. For the October Revolution’s continuation, titled Four Days in December, held at nearby Judson Hall on the last days of 1964, the Arkestra performance presented Pharoah Sanders as well as a flautist (who was and remained obscure thereafter) named Harold Murray, nicknamed Black Harold. “It wasn’t until long after Sanders had achieved worldwide acclaim with John Coltrane that Ra and manager Alton Abraham decided to issue the music they’d recorded at Judson Hall. After its first release in plain or hand-decorated covers in 1976, Featuring Pharoah Sanders And Black Harold remained an exceptionally rare item in the El Saturn discography, known to a few lucky collectors. “We’re lucky to have this glimpse of what Sanders sounded like in such a different context, galvanizing the large group and in turn being inspired to make his first significant contribution on record.” —John Corbett (excerpt from the liner notes)) 25.00

THOR & FRIENDS - The Subversive Nature Of Kindness LP (LM - The Subversive Nature of Kindness is the sophomore effort from Thor & Friends, the avant-chamber ensemble formed by its namesake, polymath percussionist Thor Harris. The album was recorded in Albuquerque, New Mexico, produced by Jeremy Barnes from A Hawk & A Hacksaw and engineered by Barnes and Deerhoof’s John Dietrich. It is hoped that the melodic meditations offered up will ease some of the terror of living in these uncertain times.  The three primary members of the band are Peggy Ghorbani on marimba, Sarah “Goat” Gautier on marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, organ, voice, mellotron and piano, and Harris on sundry percussion and wind instruments, including some of his own devising. The band draws on classic Minimalist composers including Terry Riley and Steve Reich, but also amalgamateS such diverse influences as Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Moondog and The Necks. They embody utopian optimism by rooting their art and operation in both improvisation and the involvement of neighbors and friends in their process, making use of what and who is around at any given moment.) 18.00

TOTAL CONTROL - Laughing At The System LP (However you might try to find the words for it, Total Control's caustic charm is stunning and oblique. A sensible account of the band typically focuses on its parts—the associated groups, the touring configurations, etc.—as if finding ways by which Total Control is divisible gleans critical information for breaking through their cryptic sheen. With tonic, wry twists, and forever employing aphoristic brevity for the comic/cosmic dynamite that it is best reserved for, the band seems to indulge this with each new release, or tour, or whatever's put on the counter. The bands European tour tape from 2015 was a sure reminder of this.  Their new 12", 'Laughing At The System,' is a succinct statement, but it feels like the sharpest thing they've ever assembled. Written and recorded over the past couple of years in various lounge rooms, bedrooms, and rehearsal studios, across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and Western Australia, Al Montfort, Daniel Stewart, James Vinciguerra, Mikey Young, and Zephyr Pavey are—for the record—all accounted for in the process. ) 14.00

TRISOMIE 21 - Wait And Dance LP (dark entries - TRISOMIE 21 is a post punk band formed in 1981 by PHILLIPE LOMPREZ (vocals, drums) and HERVE LOMPREZ (guitar, electronics), two brothers from Abscon, in the North of France. They began composing songs at the age of 16 while studying at school. The brothers were influenced by Kraftwerk, The Residents, Yello, P.I.L as well as the films of George A. Romero. Their music consists of lush soundscapes that do not easily fit into any one category. Lyrics are sung in English because in the north of France the duo sought to contradict the trend at the time for everything to be sung in French. Musically their mood is melancholic and one can hear traces of Joy Division, Durutti Column and The Cure. Since 1983 they’ve recorded 15 albums and appeared on numerous compilations and remain active to this day.  In Spring 1985 the group went back into the studio to record a new batch of songs. Trisomie 21’s notoriety had increased following two concerts in Belgium and the Brussels recording label Play It Again Sam decided to sign them. In September 1985 the 5-song mini-LP ‘Wait & Dance’ was released by PIAS sub-label Scarface. It contained the band’s first female guest vocals on two of the tracks. Sadly some of the songs had phase related problems and caused partial cancelation playing back monophonically, so the band remixed the songs and reissued them on CD only in 1987. We have added the 5 remixes as bonus tracks here presented for the first time ever on vinyl. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The LP is housed in a replica of the original jacker featuring a artwork by Sourdeval and includes a photo postcard featuring lyrics and notes.) 21.00

Pascal Tison was replaced by Laurent Dagnicourt on bass guitar. Featuring eight cold wave compositions including the instrumental funeral waltz “La fête triste”. UFOMAMMUT - 8 LP (neurot - 8 is UFOmammut’s eighth album, comprised of eight tracks that flow into each other without interruption. This flow can also be seen when you tip 8 horizontally, thus it morphs into the lemniscate from algebraic geometry—∞—a plane curve that meets at central point, or more commonly known as the infinity symbol. A continuous stream of movement reflective of the uninterrupted nature of the album but also the continued togetherness of the essential elements of the band —Urlo, Poia and Vita— since the beginning of the band’s history in 1999. It must be stressed there is no singular pronunciation of the title, 8 is “eight” in English, “otto” in Italian, “acht” in German, “huit” in French, and so on. It is a continuous flux of music, a singular entity, which can be defined in micro-measurements by its eight satellite songs. Each song expands upon the one preceding it, unfolding into an exceedingly dense and malevolent journey, resulting in this being the band’s most extreme venture yet, with no permittance for breathing space in those forty-eight minutes.) 25.00
